One day I came up with a brilliant idea to go and interview a group of children to see if they would be interested in creating a book with me. Well I got a resounding yes along with lots of squeals of delight from the children and smiles from the parents present.
Suddenly I had a group who were telling me how they can make all sorts of things and so kids in the kitchen was born that very day.
From the day I interviewed a group of children back in to see if they would be interested in creating a book with me I have been busy being fed, taking snap shots and spending time with some very talented budding chefs!
With so many volunteers I probably could have written a hundred books so I had to painfully select enough for a few books otherwise I could see the children making the same items over and over and although slightly different I have to think of my readers too.
The next challenge was the request that came from a few readers who wanted the books in French. I asked a friend of mine who is French if she would be interested in translating and I think she has done an outstanding job!
What a delightful project this is! I am enjoying it immensely and this series
